爱笑的眼睛

I'm finally back at home. In fact I was rarely online for the past week cos i was so preoccupied with so many many things. Mainly becos i was given such a rare opportunity to drive my sister's car while she was overseas, so i took those precious time i had with the car to run as much errands as i could.

Another important thing that happened was that one of my secondary school classmate's dad passed away suddenly, all of us were alarmed and shocked by his death, and once again, i managed to meet up many of my ex classmates and team mates at the wake itself, and i, once again, can't help but to think "y muz we always meet under such conditions??"

Sunday was a meetup with some of our ex students (mine, and mainly jasmine's) and Dennis joined us too. I would say that this group of students are fun people, and I believe that they are really students that many teachers would want to have. Of course It was also Jasmine's heart for them which allowed her to be reciprocated with such rewards from her students, for wanting to see her off and arranging a gathering for her before she leave for further studies next week. And i sincerely wish her all the best in her studies for the next 2 years.

The day was ended with a bowling game...check out her socks...i almost fainted when i saw it:

This post was named becos of the change made to my life 2 days ago: I had officially said goodbye to spectacles after my lasik surgery on monday.

Thanks to KL for his good offer, which i managed to get from a SAFRA discount of nearly $300+ for the surgery.

For those who r keen to know how the surgery feels, here it goes:

before one can go for the surgery, he must go thru a suitability test and final evaluation to ensure that he is suitable to do the surgery: meaning that the eye is healthy, cornea is free from infection and the thickness is sufficient etc.

5 days before the surgery, one muz stop wearing contact lenses to ensure that the cornea is restored back to its original shape.

In the operating theatre:

numbing eye drop is dripped onto my eyes,

my eyes were kept opened by a 'clip' and eye drop was constantly dripped onto my eyes to keep them moist.

a 'suction' was started...if i'm not wrong, this procedure actually 'lifts the cornea' so that it is easier for thedoc to cut a flap on it. I was 'blinded for a few seconds. it's scary though.

this is the most scary part i tink, cos the doc then cuts a flap on my cornea and flipped it open, and i can physically feel the discomfort and my vision getting blurred when he flips my cornea over.

laser starts, but i did not smell and burning smell...maybe cos i was too engrossed in focusing onto the red dot to keep my eye in position.

laser stops and the doc closes back my cornea... and puts on the eye shield...and the process repeats for the 2nd eye...

in fact...everything only lasted for less than 15 mins....

After which i was escort to downstairs where my sis came to fetch me....i looked like an alien cos my eye shields were on in the public...vision was difficult as my cornea was swollen then, and my pupils were dilated, and cos of the anaesthatic, i could hardly open my eyes, and when i wanted to, i felt so painful cos of the glaring sun (cos my pupils were dilated). After i reached my sister's place, i juz took the sleeping pills and slept thru the day, and after i woke up, i knew that i could say goodbye to my specs :)

but the irritating part is that i cannot wash my face nor my hair for 1 week, so i could only get my hair washed at the salon instead, and clean my face using wet tissue

That's how silly i looked after the surgery..

I'd like to end this post with a song...which i feel that it's Vivian Hsu's best song she've ever sang in her career as a singer. Perhaps the title speaks what i hope to feel: to restore my 爱笑的眼睛 :)

Lastly, to the person who have always been waiting for me when i was not around for the past few days, I'm felt so sorry for not being able to talk to u for the past days. I hope that i can reali recover fast so i can stare at the computer longer as it's already not easy for me to stare at the screen to do this post already...

Die Die also wanna Sing

Oops,I should name this post as 死了都要唱 actually. It literally means 'die die also wanna sing'

I finally got the time and mood to post some update. Things aren't very well for this whole month actually. Considering that I would have spent nearly or more then $7000 for the whole of this month. Which is easily much more than twice my current monthly salary.

Now that i'm still recovering from my wisdom tooth surgery (one of my major expenses this month), I had indeed enjoyed few days of healthy, soft diet; my own formulated and prepared high protein, fibre and vitamins diet. I refused to look at my extracted teeth after the surgery despite the nurse's repeated request and volunteering her service to clean up my teeth for me to see....her reason being very simple:

Dun you want to have a last look at your teeth that has been with you for so many meals???

My reason for not wanting to take this last look, simply because those 2 redundant teeth had caused me over $800 bucks to get them removed, and causing a threat to my other healthy teeth.....

Anyway the only thing special about this post is about Alex's birthday celebration at Spaceship KTV last saturday --- definitely a good place for cheap singing and free flow of soft drinks. I remembered that day was a busy day for me --- busy day of singing, becos earlier on that day, I met another group of friends for another KTV session. Both groups are very different though...

The day time group are all made up of 'pro singers' whom i've known few years back when i decided to try out what learning singing from professionals is all about, so those were my classmates whom I've known and met. Out of 10 people in the class including myself, i'm glad that i'm still able to keep in touch with 3 of them. Going KTV with them can be stressful cos i reali have to 'sing properly' cos any note sang out of tune will be sort of 'unpleasant'

Alex and friends (made up of my army buddiez) belong to another category. This is the group where i can shout and be crazy all I want.

Songs of 信乐团,迪克牛仔,动力火车 (all well known to be 'hard core' singers of the chinese pop) are dominant thruout the 4 hours we spent there. Their songs can literally make people throat burst.

I'm posting one video, snapped when HY decides to challenge one of the 信乐团's famous song ---- 死了都要爱.... Remember to turn your speakers to full blast when u get to experience the power of the song yourself.... :p

我可以

This song is juz so 耐听 in my opinion... the 1st time i listened to it, i didn't feel anything,
the 2nd time, when i got to listened to it on the radio, then it caught my attention.
Now, after about 1 mth of listening to this song, and after managing to sing it at the ktv myself, i've fallen in love with this song.

Check out its MTV. I dun tink i need to post its lyrics since i'm posting its KTV version of its MV.

Enjoy.

Project S____Star

It's a thurs nite when many will choose to stay at home to watch a fav TV programme "project Superstar", but not the 5 of us, who chose to have a Project at the KTV itself. I would say it's an enjoyable night for me, since it has been long since i go KTV wif a group of pple who can really sing, and when it can be an enjoyable experience hearing them sing, not the comical type of fun which i get during most of the other times. So i've decided to take a short video clip of each and everyone when they are singing 1 song, dats inclusive of myself too...hehe...

check us out:

M1: Song: Piano by 范逸臣

M2: Song: 枫 by 周杰伦

M3: Song: 我只是想要 by 陈伟联

M4: Song: 最爱的人不是你 by 郑中基

M5: Song: 兄妹 by 陈奕讯

Back from Chiang Mai I

I noe my blog had already grown cobwebs. Cos i was away in Chiang Mai, for the same purpose as last year. The main difference is that in 05, NUS team was trashed by the Thai teams without any wins, however, in 06, i am happy for the team that they have made a great comeback by doing the reverse --- yes, NUS beaten all the teams they faced this year and emerged as the Champions in the Mens Open Category. Well done guys!

Memories of 05 championships --- the evergreen outfielder combination. Now the 3 of us have 'unofficially' announced our retirement from the sport. 8119..looks like a good 4D combination.

The award the team had worked for, for the past year

The Winning Team

Me and Baobao, Thank you so much for all you've done for me for the past year

That's what i have for the moment, because i have not completed my collection of all the photos. So do keep a look out.
