王杰世界巡回演唱会-23oct2010

The long wait finally is going to itenerise into a reality.

3 years ago, i did comment that if he's ever coming to SG to hold a concert, i'll surely support.

I am going to keep my promise as far as i can :)

Hope to hear the good songs which i reali like. Even though many of them may not be the top hits.

Now i'm adding 2 more songs into this top list, began to like them so much only during the recent months to be exact:

让我永远爱你-1988

爱得太多-1994

An easy decision?

Was caught off guard when i received this phone call from xy yesterday while me and some of my team mates were slogging away in office on a sat.

shocked, puzzled and full of question marks in my head.

Until i linked up with other frens on the same evening, then i managed to get a clearer picture on what had happened.

It might be an easy one off decision (might not be so too though as it reali takes lotsa courage to do what he had done) for him probably. but i do feel for his parents and family, of which his sister is a pretty close fren of mine and xy.

He may be gone for good, but i can imagine the amount of grief that he has left behind, for his loved ones, which is for good as well.

Aberdeen Business Trip: 5 - 12 Jul 2010

The trip to Aberdeen is indeed fulfilling. Was thankful of the opportunity to meet great colleagues from all over the world, knowing that the leadership team have great inspirations to want to make a difference. Learning the articulated mission, vision, market drivers, key customer valued propositions and detailed road map to lead the organization to the stipulated goals.

Even though the plane journey and jet lag were horrible, but the trip is worthwhile as a whole. Even though we only have 2 days for R&R.

Check out some of the pics taken:

we rented a car from Inverness to drive to Loch Ness area to visit the Urquhart castle. Din manage to catch the 'Loch Ness Monster' as depicted in the legend though.. it was nonetheless a new driving experience in a country with narrow roads, many bends, speed cameras, roundabouts in a manual vehicle

reali enjoyed this eating along the street experience. this restaurant is situated in the midway of nowhere on a road...and we decided to stop the vehicle there for lunch..the result was pleasantly surprising. with good food, nice scenary. i can foresee that if i were to do the same in Singapore, i would be sweating/ sticky/ breathing in smoky air, and also fearing of being knocked down by vehicle while eating...

scotland is this big and we manage to bump onto our colleague in Aberdeen at Fort Augustus!!!!

the last visit we managed to go to is the Edinburgh castle. great preservation of the old british architecture.

the rest of the photos can be viewed via the following link:

the weather is comfortably cooling, even though it's summer...temperature ranging from 15-19 degC. people there are generally nice. the drawback is that it is extremely stressful to do shopping there. by the time we finished sight seeing at close to 4pm, that leaves us only around 1.5 - 2 hrs to shop around, because it's their culture to close the shops at around 1730!!! i definitely dun haf the luxury to pick and choose.

how do we keep ourselves entertained on the weekend evenings??? below is the answer:

Germany vs Uruguay

Spain vs Holland

kinda of surprising for someone who dun usually watch soccer ya? but unfortunately, that's the best night entertainment...

Missed

For the first time, i traveled to the Europe continent together with my colleague. The 13 hr flight was extremely tiring, and we definitely suffered from severe jet lag. Becos of the trip, i missed out on my commencement ceremony, which was held on 6 Jul.

managed to find the webcast video of the ceremony and it can be found in the following link:

i belong to the 6 July afternoon session.

To make up for the loss, i decided to retain the memories of me wearing the gown in studio pictures instead. check out 3 of the samples taken:
