More Changes

Perhaps many of my ex students or even their frens are aware of my little world. I do believe that many are spreading rumours all over the place as to wat will happen to my workplace over the next few months. What I could say is that the training for them will still go on, but as of yesterday, we will be short of 2 more manpower for their training. which makes it a total number of 4 trainers who had resigned over the past 2 months. out of the 4, 3 of them are people whom i truly respected from the bottom of my heart for their seniority and experience.

I will remember the days whereby I would always frantically take his car every day early in the morning to office and asking questions from the preparation work for my lessons thruout the car journey during my pioneer batch of training.

I will also remember the days when i truly gained some experience and knowledge as to how to operate the plant thru his sincere guidance during my pioneer shift training as a duty shift leader with his ITE trainees.

Last but not least I will not forget the guidance and process knowledge both of u had provided me to become a confident trainer to my trainees and students, even though none of u were my assigned mentor on day One I joined. I still remembered who volunteered to be my mentor then....oops.

The Change

Almost one month i have worked under this new company without any disruptions due to NS. The changes in my job scope were drastic, probably because I became someone's replacement at office. Feeling in dilemma whether to feel good or bad regarding the role i have assumed.

The future fate of ITE/Poly Training became a topic which bothers many of us currently. For myself, I am 90% sure that I would be taken out from the ITE/ Poly Training completely. Which means to say that I will not have a form class anymore. Maybe would juz help out in one/two lectures/ practicals as a back up manpower, or even juz to help out in weekend shifts to relief our own people workload as well as to minimize the disturbances to my normal work routines which I have been reminded by my own boss not to do night shift anymore..lol. but whether the ITE/Poly Training will continue in 2009, the answer could only be obtained at the end of this year.

One thing that we are quite sure or optimistic is that our place is going to change, to change to a profit making organization, we hope. Not like the previous years when the money loss per year is enormous. Probably the amount of money lost per year can be some amount that some people can never earn in their entire life.

The 4A1/97 BBQ at ECP on 19/7 was a flop. Not becos of lousy food, but due to lousy weather. In fact lotsa good food were prepared, but the rain came even before we could enjoy them. It has always been the fate of us to always gotta BBQ in the rain, but the weather had never been so unkind to the extent that the rain was heavy and accompanied by thunderstorm, which we had to play an Emergency Response Game to Evacuate the area.

The highlight every sunday is always badminton, of which I am looking forward to again this weekend. Maybe it's this sport that's causing me to lose weight again. I've lost 2 kg to weigh on 61kg now. But it seems that my weight has always been fluctuating unsteadily over the past few months to hover from 61 - 65...

Lastly, i do have many inspirations to write songs and melodies for now, but i always got no time to put time into tangible pieces, will find time to do so..:)

Final March Pass?

Almost 3 weeks of staggered Reservist had finally come to an end. after we march out of the SAFTI MI Parade square and out processed from Dieppe Barracks.

2 color tones on the forehead, shoulder aches, back aches, rough feet soles, blisters along the feet and on the toes are physical markings left from this reservist.

No more ping gang under the hot sun continuously in the near future (i hope)

No more sleeping on the stadium benches or stairways in the near future.

No more involvement in parades (i truly hope so)

U tink we NSmen can lose weight from reservist? I seriously dun tink so. almost 2-3 days every week, we were 'pampered' with KFC. and lotsa high carbo, oily and fatty food. Perhaps the young and still growing NSFs will love those foods, and that they are unlikely to suffer from any 'detrimantal effects' from all the trans fats and carbo. But for us for can grow upward no more, the only way for expansion is sideways. So as NSmen, i look forward to less unhealthy food in the future ICTs :p honestly, i tink i wun be touching KFC at least for half a year....

Check out us, the 48 'lucky souls' who were selected into the marching contingent to represent the GUARDS formation out of 70+ candidates........:s

our location on the parade square is marked on the red rectangle. i dunno wats wrong wif me at the time of phototaking, but i was being labelled as the 'SAF owes me $$$$$' or totally 'buay song' look...hahhaa

also check us out in our entire formation (marching contingent + reserves + logistics and support) taken with the Chief Guards Officer.

Though having involved in the parade twice in my life before (the 1st one was back in 2001), and lotsa complaints, but nonetheless, the company with the fellow comrades will be memorable and definitely brings back memories of our 'exciting 2 years' of service with the Guards Formation during our active NSF days.

Will look forward to meet up wif u guys aka fellow comrades again, the next time will probably be next month "ta-ing" till we puke again! hahaha.
