V Day

Hi

It seems that I had vanished from the world over the past few weeks, but it's not true.

In reality, i was somehow searching for a breathing space.

Rushing and walking quickly at office seemed to be a normal practice for me.

reaching home late and treating my home merely as a hotel became a routine.

bring work home is no longer something surprising.

had been tied up with plant turnaround for 3 weeks in Jan. Yes, our small plant did a turnaround. or i shld say in layman terms, a major plant shutdown for maintenance. though not so major afterall, but it's still enough to keep us busy and on the ball.

CNY was only 2 days for me, from the 3rd day onwards basically it's back to the normal busy routine of working and schooling, even during the weekends, when i went back to help out to conduct ITE shift training.

1st week of Feb was ICT at Pasir Laba Camp. Had a great time meeting up with long lost army buddies and comrades. and to know that people can resort to hiding in fire hose reel cabinets when they are drunk just to escape further 'alcohol treatment'! lol. and that me, being 'drowned' by the $1.20 per can TIGER beer at the specs mess, went frantically searching and trying to call this lost comrade...lol. Had a great time riding motorbike too, though only for a short 2 hours. thats something i look forward to every year in an ICT when i do not have to worry that my hair will go messy or stinky after riding motor bike cos i am in green!
The saying still goes: "WEAR GREEN, CANNOT THINK" wearing army uniform seemed to give everyone a legitimate reason to become stupid. especially the NSFs. The way things are being done reali reminded me as an NSF almost 10 years ago...lol. rushing to wait and waiting to rush. also almost the whole company was activated to conduct search and rescue in the jungle, not for a casualty, but for a lost hand set (looks like a telephone) which was reported lost, but later returned by a kuku who apparently left that in his field pack. I hope i did not develop some profession syndrome, but somehow when the NS trainers started conducting their class, i can't help but feel how terrible they were in their lesson delivery....talk and talk and talk and talking to himself, no eye contact with students, poor and negative demonstrations, and teaching us how to use the HOR LE SI (give u death ,direct translation from hokkien) laptop --- yes we were trained to use and carry this device during war, which i see as a liability. the only part which i could feel that it's an asset will be during short range combat when i can use it as a weapon to knock out opponents due to its bulky and near 5 kg weight.

HOR LE SI sounds like a chinese name rite? so one more lesson, if u haf a daughter and ur surname is Hor (何), please NEVER, EVER NAME ur daughter 何丽诗!!! literally called HOR LEE SZE in hokkien!!!! but it seems and sounded perfectly alrite in chinese

The ITE students never failed to give us surprises for every batch, apparently i had to become involved in a case due to some reasons. Counselling the 3 ITE students for more than 1 hr given me some mixed feelings. Rather than feeling angry about their actions, which was reali not a glorious event, somehow i do pity or sympathize with alot of them though. sympathizing them for having to go thru more in life at a much younger age, and being less fortunate than many of their counterparts of their age. the strong inferior complex which some of them reali have, probably shaped by the cruel society and stereotyping on them. i do hope that they would treat every ordeal in life as a force to shape them into a stronger and better person for the future.

V day was reali a rush and I had to attend my uni classmate's wedding on that evening, but i managed to come up wif a small handmade gift :) and spend the eve well, I hope, till late mid night which overlapped to the actual day. I have uploaded the song which xy liked the most that night which i sang :). So i decided to share wif all.

time to sleep. a hectic day ahead.

Nitez, and hopefully i can finish writing my newest song soon!! coming a little bit day by day (for the lyrics i mean) and the melody has been done :)
