Beauty Queen Vs Airhead

Miss Universe 2009 has just been crowned yesterday with powerhouse Venezuela winning the title twice in a row for the first time in Miss universe history...frankly i was a fan of beauty pageants as i do admire beauty with brains and poise which was demonstrated by the winners back in the 90s. but the way the competition format has changed removed my liking for the pageant and its recent year winners as i no longer see the outer and inner beauties like the previous winners. instead i seem to agree with certain comments on the net that Miss universe winners nowadays look like P_os_it_tes.

Now come to the turn off:

i was told my wk that the Miss Singapore World contestants this year are great turn offs, not because they are lack of mighty 'figures', but because they are a bunch of air heads, those that will give a loud echo when u hit its head with something.....

upon watching the videos, i can't help but to firstly, feel so pitiful about the contestants that they have disgraced themselves so much simply by their air head answers. i tot the $2 char kway teow at Newton circus and choosing RACIAL harmony day as a favorite festival back in 2005 are already bad enough....but the fact is: 一山还有一山高....to directly translate, it simply literally means that there's always a mountain that is higher than another....on the other hand, i can't help also to feel so ashamed for Singapore and to ask :"is that the best Singapore can offer??" "What will people think of Singapore if we have such people to represent the women of Singapore????" there could only be a few reasons:

1. singapore has no woman with both beauty and brains...
2. the contestants never did any homework or study past pageants...
3. in singapore, only unconfident air heads who are thirsty for RESPECT, ATTENTION, & RECOGNITION takes part in pageants....
