A New Beginning, very soon

Dun be mistaken that i've gotten attached or getting married very soon.

A new year and a new term, be it at the "World Class University" or at office is going to commence very soon.

It's confirmed that my new ITE/ Poly form class, after 6 mths of coordinating of ITE/poly trg is confirmed to arrive on 17th Dec.

Actually after chatting with several ITE students over the past few days, i do feel very happy for their form trainers, my colleagues; who had given their 100% dedication and heart to these students. There's a chinese saying, 盖棺论定, which literally means that a person can only be evaluated or criticized conclusively only after the coffin has been sealed, meaning that anyone's achievements or fallacies can only be evaluated only after his reign is over. and i dare to say that my fellow colleagues had displayed a positive example for all to follow, including myself.

10 weeks of journey may be short, but it is sufficient to make some positive changes in some people. and they had proven the point. Though for their 10 weeks, their form trainers, and sometimes even myself, have always been nagging, scolding or even punishing them for watever disciplinary problems, but at the end of the day, the comforting words were non other than those that come from the students personally. We were glad that they said that they missed their days in our plant, that the 10 weeks had caused them to change alot for the better, and that they had learnt how to get along or work with each other better etc.

Actually, getting along or working together effectively as a team is an art that everyone ought to master, and constantly improve on. I do agree to a certain extent that a 'large tree tend to draws the wind', meaning that a person with authority or 'superior position' tends to invite gossips, and i do believe that many of us will have a chance to be in such positions too, be it short term or long term. What we should always tell ourselves is that at any point of time that if we need to end up ourselves in similar positions, we have to work with a conscience. Not forgetting to have an empathy for your fellow team mates, instead of plotting and scheming everything for your own benefit and not giving a damn for team mates whom you need to rely on to achieve a common goal. People are not stupid, and your motives can never be undetected and unnoticed forever, and people will not be at your bidding forever.

So to those who are going to enter the workforce, or had entered the workforce, maybe u'll have some thoughts in mind now.
