"Fond Sufferings"

What will keep me busy for the next 2 weeks has got to be the 11 reservist days this year. No 'Chiong swa-ing', 'no ippt', but it's something i, or i shld say, we had done back in 2001 before. i.e. marching contingent for SAF DAY 2008.

This pic below was the picture taken back in 2001. they are none other than our own BRC troopers.
though wearing the same uniform, boots and the khaki beret, but the faces marching this year for the Guards Formation have changed. of course all of us have aged, many had started suffering from hair loss (common fate of ageing men), quite a number have expanded in size..lol. last but not least the number of people in the pic who are involved in this event had significantly reduced. from around 20 to only about 12 left. but nonetheless, each time we meet together always brings back fond memories of the past, jokes and crazy things we had done b4 which will be remembered by everyone for life. i reali hope to take a picture of the same people who are involved in the marching this year to compare the differences and to spot the faces seen on both pics. that'll be fun and amusing, i believe.

Ah toh (below) had always been our source of laughter and fun all over these years....seems that we always make fun of him and bullying him? no way. we all know that he's a nice guy to get along with, and definitely someone who is very true, righteous and honest. when we celebrated his birthday for him at Boon Lay market last month, we drank beer which we bought with my 'godma' Coco. after knowing that we were celebrating his birthday, she immediately offered to buy a cake for him, and she actually paid out of her own pocket..so nice rite??? but sad to say, the cake she bought was of green tea flavor, which reminds toh of his unglamourous past of desperately pissing into a 1.5L green tea bottle when we were in Thailand for army training back in Mar 2002. more over, instead of a "happy birthday" message on the cake, the message on the cake turned out to be "母亲快乐" which means 'happy mother
s day'. so we never failed to encounter funny and embarrassing moments when he's around.


Yesterday evening was a sinful feast of crabs again! check out the famous AMK crab bee hoon and butter sauce crabs!


Lastly, i've finally bought a new handphone, but it's not a happy event though. the phone's LCD gave way on the 3rd day after i bought the phone. the explanation for the damage was crappy. and i still had to pay to replace a new LCD...how unlucky can i get? and it seems that i've been over spending for the past few months.....
